High-ranking officials from the Tanzanian Ministry of Finance participated in a one-week, in-person training program at KAMCO’s headquarters in Busan and its Seoul regional office from August 19 to 23. The training, titled “the 10th KAMCO Knowledge Exchange Initiative (K-KEI),” was designed to familiarize the officials with international best practices in state-owned property management and was fully funded by the Tanzanian government. The curriculum covered key aspects of state-owned property management, including the life cycle of asset management, legal and institutional frameworks, governance, drone investigation of public land, and various IT systems that enhance transparency, fairness, and efficiency, such as an online bidding disposal system. As the host agency, KAMCO also brought in lecturers from the Public Procurement Service and the Korea Public Finance Information Service and in addition to the training, participants enjoyed brief yet engaging cultural experiences through city tours in Busan and Seoul. Both parties agreed to meet again in Tanzania in the near future to continue collaboration and pursue further business opportunities. |
