On December 8, the 10th International Financial Cooperation Forum, hosted by the Financial Services Commission’s Council on International Financial Cooperation (CIFC), was held under the theme “Financial Frontiers: Digital Finance and Artificial Intelligence.” The forum was attended by approximately 100 domestic participants, including representatives from member institutions of the Council and related organizations, as well as around 60 overseas participants, consisting of overseas business partners of member institutions and invited speakers. During the forum, KAMCO invited officials from the Bank of the Lao PDR and engaged in discussions on key financial issues, while exploring opportunities for future cooperation. In particular, on December 9, KAMCO welcomed Ms. Thipphavanh Chanthaphasouk, Director General of the Bank of the Lao PDR, and one other official to its headquarters. The meeting focused on potential cooperation, including an ADB consulting project for the establishment of a public AMC in Laos and Laos’s potential membership in the International Public AMC Forum (IPAF). Both sides expressed their commitment to strengthening cooperation going forward. |
